The purpose of the meeting is to vote on a proposed sale of our property at 320 Sawkill Rd. Members of the Board of Trustees and the Building Task Force will be on hand to answer questions at the “Conversation with Lay Leaders” session scheduled for August 18th after the service at noon and before the vote on the 25th.

In adherence to the UU Catskills Bylaws, a quorum of 33% of our membership must be present for the vote to be legitimate. Your participation is crucial; please prioritize this meeting. Attendance can either be in person or virtually via Zoom. Friends of the congregation may attend but only members may vote.

Absentee ballots will be accepted via email or mail until midnight on Saturday, August 24th. This option is only open to members who cannot attend in person or virtually. Note that absentee ballots do not count towards quorum. The ballot must contain your name and clearly state that you either approve of the sale or do not approve. Ballots should either be mailed to Kristen Schara, UU Catskills, 320 Sawkill Rd, Kingston, NY 12401 (write BALLOT on the envelope) or emailed to uuccpres@gmail.com.
